Salute to Our Veterans @ the 2500 & 2600 blocks of Central
 
GCD & VFW Post 39 will commemorate U.S. war veterans adjacent to VFW Post 39.  The VFW will present a memorial ceremony with support from the AR-MEDCOM Color Guard of Pinellas Park to honor our veterans at 6pm. 
Other activities include:
  • The Classic Car Cruisers exhibit of vintage & street rod cars on Central Av in front of Soho South Gifts & Framing. 
  • St. Pete's Helping Our Troops (HOT) group will be collecting items to send to active duty troops.  HOT will also be accepting donations for their Pennies for Packages fundraiser to cover shipping costs--so bring your pocket change! 
  • Participating stores will have extended hours for shopping in addition to street vendors with food & other goodies!  Grand Central District's Gillie's Bar-B-Que & Original Bill's Hot Dog will be serving up all-American food. 
  • All Grand Central District businesses are encouraged to display the American flag in salute.
  • Non-GCD Vendors  It's just $25 for a selling space!  Bring your own tent, table & chairs.  RSVP to the Grand Central Office 328-7086 or GCDA@GrandCentralDistrict.org.
